Help Build the Future of Local Small Business Support
Shophand is building a new way for small business owners to discover local grants, funding, workshops, networking events, and business opportunities without spending hours searching dozens of websites.
We're looking for our first group of Shophand Local Champions to help shape this experience from the ground up.
This isn't a traditional volunteer role. We're selecting a small number of trusted community leaders who will become the local faces of Shophand in their regions and help us build the best resource hub for entrepreneurs.
What You'll Do
As a Shophand Local Champion, you'll help curate valuable opportunities for entrepreneurs in your community, including:
- Research local grants and funding opportunities
- Find workshops, networking events, and pitch competitions
- Discover vendor opportunities and procurement programs
- Verify that opportunities are still active and up to date
- Share local business resources that entrepreneurs should know about
- Provide feedback as we build the Shophand Local platform
Champions will complete monthly missions, earn points, unlock rewards, and help shape new features before they're released.

You don't have to own a business, but you should already be connected to your local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
We're especially interested in:
- Small business owners
- Economic development professionals

- Main Street organizations
- Small Business Development Center (SBDC) advisors

- Nonprofit leaders
- Community organizers
- Entrepreneur ecosystem builders

- People who are known as "connectors" in their community
